fat Joe revisits comments he made about there being a "homosexual mafia" in Hip Hop.
right through an interview with Vlad tv, fats Joe become wondered about feedback he made in an interview well-nigh five years ago. In his interview, the Bronx lyricist commented on there being a "homosexual mafia" in Hip Hop.
fat Joe explained that his remarks have been supposed to function "a message of empowerment."
"I believe what individuals picked up from the interview...was that i used to be simply telling individuals 'Be yourself. Be pleased with who you're,'" fat Joe pointed out. "no matter if you're Latino. whether you're fats. whether you're black. whether you are homosexual. whatever thing. Jus be pleased with yourself...Go out there and be who you're...It turned into in fact a message of empowerment."
fat Joe's preliminary comments on the "homosexual mafia" had been made right through a 2011 interview with Vlad television. In his interview, the rapper stated right here:
"[Hip Hop] is the most desirable gay market on the earth. The Hip Hop group is obviously owned by using gay. I occur to believe there's a gay mafia in Hip Hop. now not rappers - editorial presidents of magazines, the PDs at radio stations, the americans who give you awards at award shows. this is the fucking homosexual mafia, man. They're in energy. So why wouldn't a guy come out and say, 'Yo, I'm homosexual' and get that type of affection? Like girl Gaga, I don't recognize if she's gay however she's running with that homosexual shit for precise. and she's successful. [...] It's 2011 happening 2012. I consider if you're gay, rep your set."
